DFC is an independent private firm of consultants, whose original and major specialisation is the development of the financial sector in emerging economies. The company is privately owned, based in Barcelona, and with extensive project references in advising the international financial sector including strategic and institutional aspects, public finance, assistance to the banks, sector policy issues, access to finance, organisation creation, capacity building and evaluation.
DFC was founded in 1980 in response to a growing demand for expertise from the banking sector, financial institutions, governments and international agencies. Today, the company’s aim is to propose specialised expertise with advanced solutions for the different stages of the project or investment cycle from identification, preparation, through implementation and up to evaluation stage taking into account the specificity of each situation and the complexity of global integration.
